Does this make sense or am I crazy?

I am the middle of three brothers (25, 26, 30) all highly intelligent, ADD and similar medical issues. I am only 13 months older than my younger brother and we were mistaken for twins for much of our early life. Yet there is one thing that separates me from my older and younger brothers. I am the only one not diagnosed as dyslexic. Not only that I learned to write and read from sesame street (I had been holding a pencil incorrectly for 3-4 years before my preschool teacher told me I was doing it wrong, so I didn't change) and have had a college reading level since grade school. I have ridiculous eye hand coordination and a near perfect sense of pitch, thus I make a pretty good musician. Now my brothers, particularly my younger, are very similar to me mentally but because of their dyslexia they don't have my eye hand coordination (They stopped playing competitive video games with me by middle school), sense of pitch or my visual acuity.

Now that I have high lighted some big differences I would like to say living with two dyslexic brothers has showed me that I share every characteristic of being a dyslexic with my brothers except my extraordinary ability to read and write. I cannot, like this website says; read quickly or without great effort, spell, remember dates or names. I also have difficulty retrieving and pronouncing spoken words but on the other hand I have all the good qualities listed on the Could You Be Dyslexic? page as well. The only explanation I can think of comes from the only real physical difference from my brothers. To demonstrate I will compare myself to my younger brother. He is 6'3.5" I am 6'3". We are within 5 to 10 lbs of each other on any given day, about 170-180. All right hand/footed. We are both excellent at: math, science, logic. We are both pursuing engineering degrees. The only difference I see is the eyes. My left eye is the dominant one, so I think since I could see the world through my left eye I was processing my visual data through the right hemisphere first before being given structure by the logical left side of the brain. Thus as I got older I started trying to how I taught myself to write and read. And that's just it I learned to write the words before reading them. When I did learn to read I found over the years that I tend to identify words by the overall shape of the word and not the actual content of the word.

My question then is, does this make any sense and did my brain basically bypass my dyslexia? Or, is something else happening/am I over thinking things?
