Post subject: Mama needs help with finding impartial evaluator Posted: Mon May 09, 2011 11:26 am |

My son has been diagnosed with
Severe Dysphoneidetic (Mixed) Dyslexia
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Not otherwise specified (NOS), with Severe Deficits in Executive Functioning
While we think we are making progress with our school, I would like an impartial evaluation done of my son's records & test results.
I still feel that there is an element we are missing, and possibly there is a need for (but not limited to) a neurological exam, OT, vision and possible technology exam.
I would like a referral to someone to objectively look at 6 years of PPT reports, exams, CMTs etc and tell us if further testing is needed, and why.
We don't want to put our son through any additional testing if its not needed ..... he has endured literally months of tests already.
Any referrals or guidance would be greatly appreciated
BTW this is a 7th grader decoding on a Kindergarten level. We have a lot of ground to make up, time is not on our side.
Many thanks
